The Dell PERC H840 is a professional SATA / SAS RAID controller for servers and workstations. It allows you to increase the number of connected hard drives. The controller organizes and coordinates these to regulate read and write access.
The RAID controller offers an interface with PCIe x8 3.1 and 4 GB Cache. Via 2 miniSAS SFF-8644 ports you can connect up to 8 SATA or SAS drives. It is universally compatible with all known brands. A battery module is included, as well as full and low profile brackets for installation.
