The RAID controller coordinates them and groups them together to manage read and write access. The controller offers a PCIe x8 4.0 port as well as 8 internal ports for SATA or SAS drives via 1 SlimSAS SFF-8654 port. This is an original Broadcom component with the chipset SAS3808 and it’s universally compatible with all known brands. Full and low profile brackets for installation are included.
