The Broadcom / LSI MegaRAID 9361-16i is a professional SATA / SAS RAID controller for servers and workstations. It allows you to increase the number of connected hard drives. The controller organizes and coordinates these to regulate read and write access.
The RAID controller offers an interface with PCIe x8 3.0 and 2 GB Cache. Via 4 miniSAS SFF-8643 ports you can connect up to 16 SATA or SAS drives. It is universally compatible with all known brands. In addition to the controller, you receive the compatible battery module (cachevault CVPM02) as well as full and low profile brackets for installation.
