The Adaptec 8805 is a professional SATA / SAS RAID controller for servers and workstations. It allows you to increase the number of connected hard drives. The controller organizes and coordinates these to regulate read and write access.
The RAID controller offers an interface with PCIe x8 3.0 and 1GB Cache. Via 2 miniSAS SFF-8643 ports you can connect up to 8 internal SATA or SAS drives. It is universally compatible with all known brands. In addition to the controller, you receive the compatible battery module AFM700 as well as full and low profile brackets for installation.
The RAID controller functions as a hardware intersection for storage devices and their coordination.
